Contact
One address, one person reading it. Corrections with a source go to the top of the pile.
Shed & Bask is an online publication with no storefront and no walk-in location, so there is no phone number or postal address to give you. The address above is the only way to reach us, and it reaches the person who writes the site.
What we are good for
- Corrections. The most useful message we get. Name the page, quote the claim, and link a source if you have one. Our editorial policy sets out how corrections are handled and when the last-updated date moves.
- A figure we have not covered. If you came looking for a number and could not find it here, that is useful information about what to write next.
- A product we should look at, if you can point at the specification that would clear our published criteria.
- Questions about how the site is funded, though the affiliate disclosure probably answers them.
What we cannot do
- Diagnose a sick animal. We are not veterinarians and we do not have a veterinarian on staff - see about. If your reptile is unwell, please contact an exotics vet. A husbandry page here is not a substitute for one, and we would rather say that plainly than be vaguely encouraging.
- Accept payment for placement. No sponsored posts, no paid reviews, no buying a position in a roundup. Pitches of that kind do not get a reply.
- Provide prices. This site quotes none, deliberately. Every product link resolves the current figure at the retailer.
Press and brand inquiries
Same address. If you are a manufacturer and a page here states that you do not publish a figure we needed - a UVI output at a stated distance, a service temperature, a cure time - send it and we will update the page and credit the source. That is the one kind of brand contact that genuinely changes what we publish.
Send a message
This goes to the same address. Nothing is stored on this site - the form sends an email and that is all.
